Description
Metrosideros excelsa is a striking evergreen known for its vibrant red flowers and glossy dark green leaves. Native to New Zealand, it is widely cultivated in warm climates, thriving especially well in Cyprus. It blooms from late autumn to early winter, adding color and texture to the garden during the cooler months. This long-lived tree can reach up to 25 meters in height and 10 meters in width when fully mature. It is well-suited for coastal gardens, acting as an excellent windbreak and attracting pollinators. Its moderate maintenance needs and adaptability make it a garden favorite.
