Description
Adenium sp., commonly known as Desert Rose, is a striking succulent shrub admired for its vivid, trumpet-shaped flowers and swollen trunk. Native to sub-Saharan Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, it thrives in arid environments and is a favorite for bonsai and xeriscaping. Its blooms come in shades of pink, red, white, or bicolored, and appear from spring to fall. In Cyprus, it’s suitable for both outdoor planting in sunny spots and indoor cultivation near bright windows. With moderate difficulty, it requires well-draining soil, full sun, and careful watering. Despite its beauty, Adenium is highly toxic if ingested and must be handled with care.
