Description
Solanum rantonnetii, commonly known as Blue Potato Bush, is a beautiful, shrubby plant native to South America. It’s loved for its vibrant purple to lavender flowers that bloom from spring to fall, attracting pollinators to the garden. With its dark green foliage and upright growth habit, it makes a great ornamental plant for borders or as a privacy hedge. It is a hardy and low-maintenance perennial that thrives in Cyprus’s warm climate. Although easy to grow, it requires regular watering and occasional pruning to maintain its shape. Note that the plant is toxic if ingested due to solanine content.
