Description
Strelitzia nicolai, also known as the giant white bird of paradise, is a striking tropical plant native to South Africa. Its lush, glossy green leaves resemble those of a banana tree and add a dramatic, exotic flair to gardens and indoor spaces. This evergreen perennial can grow up to 6–10 meters outdoors, though it remains smaller in pots. Blooming primarily in spring and summer, it produces large, bird-shaped white and blue flowers. It’s both decorative and functional, often used as a privacy screen or indoor ornamental plant. With moderate care needs, it thrives in warm, bright environments.
