Description

Lycianthes rantonnetii is a beautiful ornamental shrub or small tree native to South America. It produces striking violet flowers with a bright yellow center from summer to fall, offering a long-lasting burst of color. This plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers a warm, Mediterranean climate like that of Cyprus. Though fairly resilient, it is sensitive to cold and requires regular pruning to maintain its shape. Ideal for borders, trellises, and containers, it attracts pollinators and adds tropical charm to any landscape. It is toxic if ingested, so caution is advised.
