Description
Cycas revoluta, commonly known as the Sago Palm, is a striking ornamental plant valued for its palm-like appearance and architectural form. Despite its name, it is not a true palm but a cycad, belonging to an ancient group of plants. With its dark green, glossy, feathery leaves and a symmetrical crown, it adds a tropical touch to gardens and interiors. It can live for over 100 years in ideal conditions and produces cones instead of flowers. Native to Japan and Taiwan, it thrives in warm climates and well-drained soil. Although slow-growing, it is extremely resilient once established.
