Jasminum officinale, commonly known as jasmine, is a classic climbing plant admired for its intensely fragrant white flowers and elegant, delicate foliage. Blooming from late spring through summer, it fills gardens and outdoor spaces with a rich, sweet scent. Well suited to Cyprus’ climate, it thrives in warm temperatures and performs best in sunny to partially shaded locations. It can be trained on pergolas, fences, and walls or grown as a loose shrub with support. It prefers well-drained soil and regular watering, especially during the flowering season.
