Description

Alocasia macrorrhizos, also known as Elephant Ear, is a striking herbaceous perennial prized for its enormous, lush green leaves and architectural presence. Native to tropical Asia and Oceania, it thrives in warm, humid climates and can be grown both indoors and outdoors in Cyprus. The plant can reach impressive heights of 6–8 feet with a spread of 4–6 feet, creating a dramatic tropical effect. While it rarely blooms indoors, its foliage alone provides great ornamental value. It is easy to care for once established and ideal for partially shaded areas that receive bright, indirect light.
